RGV Vyooham' teaser drew tremendous response: Dasari Kiran Kumar
Noted producer Dasari Kiran Kumar claims that the teaser of his new political potboiler ‘Vyooham’, being helmed by maverick director RGV, has created ripples of sorts. However, he is happy that it didn’t receive any flak from the opposition parties like TDP. “I think we have started on a positive note,” says Dasari Kiran Kumar to Deccan Chronicle.
Q: How was the response for the teaser of ‘Vyooham’?
A: The response for the teaser was tremendous and quite overwhelming. We are quite elated about it. It would be a gripping and hard hitting tale of a son of Chief Minister who faces the world after losing his father in a copter crash and it also marks his trials and tribulations thereafter.
Q: Was there any backlash from the opposition party TDP?
A: Not at all. It is a good sign and I think we have started on a positive note. Nobody raised any objections about our content even though the 2-minute teaser hinted about the story and characters to be played out in the political-centric flick. It would be a captivating political potboiler for all sections of the audience.
Q: We learnt that you are pumping in Rs 20 crores on this movie?
A: I can’t disclose the figures but we are making it on a lavish scale since it is a prestigious film for us. To perfectly match with the larger-than-life image our protagonist. We have to shoot some real-life episodes in real locations, at times with huge gatherings which demand some budgets. We are determined to dish out a memorable film without making any compromises.
Q: Any reasons for working with RGV again after ‘Vangaveeti?
A: Frankly, working with RGV is always a pleasure. I share a great comfort level with RGV and I like to do more films with him. He is quite honest and committed about his work. I don’t care about what others say about him, but for me he is the best in the business. His meticulous planning is bound to cut wastage and every penny spent would be reflected on the big screen.
