Dil Raju Is New President of TFCC
Leading producer Dil Raju has been elected as president of Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce and he has defeated his rival candidate C Kalyan with a good majority in the elections held at chamber premises today. “I am thankful to all producers for giving our panel a good majority in the executive committee and also exhibitors, studio owners besides distributors for electing me as president,” said Dil Raju after election results were announced late in the evening.
“I have a lot of work to do from tomorrow since I have a mission on hand. I need the support of all members for the same,” he adds
The elections this time were closely contested and both panels canvassed hard to attract voters. Winners of top positions include Muthyala Ramdas (Vice President), and Prasanna Kumar (General Secretary), while Damodar Prasad was elected as Treasurer.
Dil Raju himself emerged victorious from the producer sector along with several other members of his panel. The list of winners includes YV Chaudhary, Ashok Kumar, Padmini, Sravanti Ravikishore, Yalamanchali Ravishankar, and Mohan Vadlapatla, who also won their respective posts.
The polling commenced from morning until 4 pm, with 1339 members exercising their voting rights. Among them, 891 votes were cast from the producer sector, 68 from the studio sector, and 380 from the distribution sector.
In 14 rounds, Dil Raju’s panel secured 563 votes and C Kalyan’s panel secured 497 votes.
Surprisingly, popular producers Suryadevara Naga Vamsi (Sithara Entertainments), Bapineedu (SVC Entertainments) & Vivek Kuchibhotla (Peoples Media Factory) lost the election.
