I have been dreaming of directing Allu Arjun, says Harish Shankar
In the glory of three successive hits, Allu Arjun’s new film, DJ Duvvada Jagannatham, directed by Harish Shankar has been officially launched on Monday at Film Nagar temple in Hyderabad.
“I have been dreaming of directing Allu Arjun since Arya had released,” says Harish, who has known producer Dil Raju for a long time. “My friendship with Dil Raju dates back to the time of Gabbar Singh; I have always treated him as my elder brother. This is my third film with Dil Raju and his 25th film as a producer,” he says.
Allu Arjun’s father Allu Aravind, V.V. Vinayak and Shyam Prasad Reddy were also present at the launch. “Allu Aravind gave me important suggestions related to the film,” says the director. The movie, which has Devi Sri Prasad as the music composer, will go on the floors in September. “We are planning to release it in April next year,” the director reveals.
