It's Official: Lyca Productions to Launch Thalapathy Vijay's Son

In an unexpected turn of events, Jason Sanjay, the son of renowned actor Thalapathy Vijay, is stepping into the world of filmmaking. The young talent has inked a directorial deal with Lyca Productions, a well-known production house in the industry. On August 28, Lyca Productions shared the exciting news, posting photographs of Jason Sanjay signing the agreement with them. This revelation surprised and delighted Thalapathy Vijay's fans, who took to social media to extend their congratulations.

Jason Sanjay's ambition to become a director was no secret, having been disclosed in interviews by his grandfather and noted filmmaker, SA Chandrasekar. His formal journey into filmmaking began with a Film Production Diploma at Toronto Film School, where he studied from 2018 to 2020. He then pursued a BA (Hons) in Screenwriting in London, further honing his skills from 2020 to 2022.

Jason Sanjay expressed his honor and excitement at debuting as a director with Lyca Productions, acknowledging their reputation for nurturing new talent. He stated, "It's an honor to get the opportunity to direct my first film for a prestigious production house like Lyca Productions.
