Aabid Bhushan working with Yandamoori
Aabid Bhushan, who has done a few Telugu projects and a Hindi film, will next be seen in Athadu Amae Priyudu in the lead role. Directed by renowned writer Yandamoori Veerendranath, the film is a suspense thriller and also stars Sunil and Kaushal of Bigg Boss fame.
“There are three parallel stories, but they come together in the end,” Bhushan shares. Revealing that his role has grey shades,” he says, “When I was offered the role, I didn’t hesitate because it has dark shades. I loved the vibe and spunkiness, and grabbed it. I am game to do any role as long as it offers scope to do something substantial.”
Bhushan is starring in another project directed by Yandamoori too. “Working with a legendary writer like Yandamoori garu is a blessing. I am fortunate to be working with such a personality early in my career,” he says, adding that he learnt several things from the writer. “He’s a one-man film school, his command over all the crafts and his life experiences provided great insights,” the actor reveals.
Bhushan is the grandson of late legendary actor Nagabushanam, and his father Meer is a famous cinematographer, editor, and actor too. But he wants to make a name for himself. “My father tells me he wants me to earn fame in my own right, as family is just a bonus,” says Bhushan, adding, “Initially, I did not want to get into showbiz. Then the bug bit me. But my parents insisted I complete my studies (engineering) before getting into films.”
The youngster has signed a film directed by Ramakrishna. The yet-to-be-titled movie is a murder mystery. “It’s a gripping role and I play an ACP. I will commence shooting for the film next month,” he says.
