Looks like Nagarjuna is getting back to what he’s best known for — experimenting with roles and scripts. The actor is reportedly set to play an Income Tax officer in his next film, to be directed by Praveen Sattaru of PSV Garuda Vega fame
Apparently, Praveen recently met Nagarjuna and bounced the plotline off him. Nag, who is known for his role versatility, instantly green signalled the idea. What impressed the Raju Gari Gadi 2 star big time was the authenticity and intensity his character commands.
A source close to the actor says, “Nagarjuna will be seen as an honest Income Tax Deputy Commissioner in the investigative thriller. While the film has shades of the Bollywood movie Raid, starring Ajay Devgn, it has an original written script by Praveen Sattaru. The film will chronicle the significance of paying taxes and proper utilisation of public money.”
Nag seems to have been changing his game plan, post the debacle of Manmadhudu 2.
“He has been picking up roles that suits his age perfectly. This way he can better connect to the audience,” adds the source.
