Chiranjeevi Urges Fair Treatment for All Sectors
After hearing all sides, Chiranjeevi stressed that every stakeholder in the industry should receive fair treatment. He said the discussion was not focused on one film or one section of the industry but on reaching a solution acceptable to everyone.

Representatives of the Telugu film industry met Megastar Chiranjeevi to discuss the ongoing percentage-sharing issue concerning single-screen theatres.
“Megastar Chiranjeevi understood the issues faced by single-screen theatres. He has assured exhibitors of support, and the Chamber will officially announce the details within two days,” said Telangana FDC Chairman Dil Raju.
Senior members of the Telugu film industry brought the matter of the percentage-sharing model for single-screen theatres to Chiranjeevi’s attention. Dil Raju, TFCC President Suresh Babu, producers K. L. Narayana, Allu Aravind, and representatives of Telangana exhibitors attended the meeting.
After hearing all sides, Chiranjeevi stressed that every stakeholder in the industry should receive fair treatment. He said the discussion was not focused on one film or one section of the industry but on reaching a solution acceptable to everyone.
He also reminded those present that the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce is the highest governing body of the Telugu film industry and said all parties should respect and follow its decisions.
Chiranjeevi acknowledged that some single-screen theatre members had concerns and dissatisfaction over the functioning and outcomes of previous committees. He expressed confidence that the new Chamber committee would thoroughly examine all aspects of the issue and submit recommendations for a percentage-sharing model before the June 30 deadline, ensuring fairness to producers, distributors, and exhibitors.
He also assured the members that he would personally do his part to ensure the committee completed its work and submitted its report on time.
Members expressed satisfaction with Chiranjeevi’s response, saying he took time to understand their concerns, fears, and the challenges currently faced by single-screen theatres. They added that they would inform members of their associations about the meeting and communicate their approval within 24 hours.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Dil Raju said that the representatives explained the problems exhibitors were facing with the percentage-sharing system and that Chiranjeevi listened carefully before assuring support. He added that the issue would be examined further through the committee and that the Chamber would release an official announcement soon.
Sridhar said the meeting lasted for around one hour and ten minutes and that they discussed various issues, including the difficulties faced by exhibitors and the closure of theatres. He said Chiranjeevi listened in detail and assured them that he would also speak with the committee before a final decision is made.
Those who attended the meeting included TFCC President Suresh Babu, Allu Aravind, TFDC Chairman Dil Raju, producers K. L. Narayana, Suniel Narang, Bharath Narang, Telangana Film Chamber President Shekhar, Anupam, Sridhar, Sadanand Goud, Sudarshan Theatre proprietor Raj and others.
