Director Ram Gopal Varma has shared a simple throwback picture that has become a topic of discussion on social media. The image shows DMK leader M. Karunanidhi with a young Vijay standing behind him.
Sharing the image, RGV wrote, “Kalaignar wouldn’t have dreamed that the kid behind him would one day destroy his party". For those unaware, Kalaignar Karunanidhi served the DMK for five decades and headed the party from 1969 until his death in August 2018.
Vijay's father, SA Chandrasekhar, is a veteran filmmaker. Perhaps, the future superstar-Chief Minister was present at an event graced by Karunanidhi as the chief guest. Meanwhile, an old video clip of MK Stalin greeting Vijay at a private event is also going viral. Vijay's candidate from TVK has defeated Stalin in the latest Tamil Nadu Assembly election.
