Pretty actress Anjali seems to be doing a mass-centric role in her upcoming film ‘Gangs of Godavari’. “I have uttered many cuss words in the film,” she says and adds, “When director Chaitanya narrated this character to me, my first question was about the use of cuss words. I thought during censoring they might get muted or altered but now everyone is talking about it,’ she adds. She claims that she loved her character design and was also happy to go in for a makeover. “I was mostly doing girl-next-door roles and won loads of appreciation. However, my rustic character in ‘Gangs of Godavari’ could come as a surprise to many in quite a different avatar,” she adds.
She further claims that she was always game for variety. "I always wanted to do challenging roles. As an actress, even I get bored doing the same kind of role again and again. I was looking to do something different and I took this up for the same. My character in this film stands out. The way she speaks, looks, and behaves is way different from what I have done so far,” she points out.
Actress Anjali recently did an author-backed role in ‘Geetanjali Malli Vachindi’ but it failed to repeat the box office magic of ‘Geetanjali’. She also worked with Ravi Teja in 'Balupu' and Balakrishna in 'Dictator before starting her career with Venkatesh in 'Sethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu'.
