If reliable sources are to be believed, the makers of much-hyped ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ have reportedly spent a whopping sum and it has invariably surpassed the budget of ‘Salaar’. “With Kalki producers spending over Rs 300 crores, they have surpassed the Rs 260 crore budget of ‘Salaar’, a source said. He further added, “Kalki casting has taken the major chunk of the budget with the fancy remunerations of Prabhas, Deepika, Kamal Hassan and Amitabh Bachchan besides technicians and Bujji car making and others,’ he added.
Nevertheless, reigning star Prabhas has been the common connection between ‘Kalki’ and ‘Salaar,’ although the stories are poles apart, he has to again showcase his crowd pulling prowess to recover the big investments. “It is the highest budget film in his career and Prabhas has to draw in sensational openings in two Telugu states, US and across India since the business estimate is going cross Rs 350 crore including Rs 150 crore in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana,” he added.
Prabhas popularity has soared high and now even the sci-fi thriller is again revolving around him and his unique feats in the movie. Of course, he has the support of legendary actors like Amitabh and Kamal besides new-age stars Deepika and Dulquer, he concluded.
