Kamal Haasan Urged to Join Kalki 2 Amid Busy Schedule and AI Pursuits
After the sci-fi thriller ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ turned out to be a commercial winner, legendary actor Kamal Hassan has been urged to join the shooting of its sequel. “Kamal impressed as ruthless Supreme Yaskin in ‘Kalki’ and his new avatar received a good response, albeit Kamal was seen in almost like a special appearance and still hogged the limelight,’ says a source from Chennai. “Now, director Nag Ashwin wants to start the shooting of the sequel and requested Kamal to allocate 30 to 40 days to shoot key portions since he has a major role in the second part and it will be another exciting journey,” he adds.
However, the ‘Nayakudu’ star is busy shooting ‘Thug Life’ and planning to leave for the USA to master ‘Artificial Intelligence’ in a special course. “He has been to be USA for over 90 days to keenly study AI and understand its multiple uses and only then, would he think of sparing dates and time. Besides, he has to wrap up almost 50% of the shooting of ‘Thug Life’ since he reunited with ace director Mani Ratnam after more than three decades, and expectations already touched the roof,” he points out.
No doubt, Kamal Hassan has a great fan following among Telugus and he was the most sought-after Tamil star after blockbusters like ‘Sagara Sangamam’, ‘Swathi Muthyam’ and ‘Indrudu Chandrudu, while his dubbed movies like ‘Bharateeyudu’, ‘Bhamane Satyabhamane’ to rule the roost in two Telugu states.
