Naga Chaitanya's upcoming film Thandel promises a patriotic and emotional experience to audience
Naga Chaitanya’s next release, Thandel, directed by Chandoo Mondeti, is generating significant buzz. With Sai Pallavi as the female lead, this romantic drama also incorporates a patriotic theme, based on the real-life story of Raju, a fisherman who inadvertently entered Pakistani waters and spent nearly two years in prison before returning to India.
In a recent interview, Naga Chaitanya shared his enthusiasm for the project. "I spent nine months preparing for the role," he revealed. "It’s such an inspirational story. I want to make sure I get everything right, especially the Srikakulam accent. Visiting Raju’s home and understanding his bravery and determination was eye-opening. Spending time with fishermen helped me grasp their struggles. Thandel is the biggest film of my career, and I needed to do justice to this role."
Produced by Bunny Vas under the GA2 Pictures banner, with Allu Arvind presenting, Thandel features music by the acclaimed Devi Sri Prasad. The makers have scheduled the film’s release for December 20, 2024.
