Nagarjuna Confirms Release Date for Akhil’s Lenin Despite Peddi
However, Nagarjuna put all rumors to rest by confirming the original release date.
After a long hiatus, Akhil is all set to return to the screen with Lenin. The makers of the movie have announced June 26, 2026, as the release date.
Recently, at an event, director Buchi Babu Sana announced that Peddi has been postponed to June 25, 2026. This led to rumors that Akhil’s Lenin might also be postponed to avoid a box office clash.
However, Nagarjuna put all rumors to rest by confirming the original release date.
Beyond the confirmation, Nagarjuna also shared a brief review of the film. He wrote on X: “Watched the first cut of our film LENIN last night. I say this with confidence and pride… you are about to witness a new AKHIL on June 26, 2026. Mark the date!!! See you in the theaters.”
Initially, Sreeleela was roped in to play the female lead, and a few scenes were even shot with her. However, she walked out of the project due to a busy schedule. Bhagyashri Borse replaced her and will now be essaying the female lead in the film.
