Popular actor Nani is looking to do more action films and wants to woo masses in big numbers for his upcoming film ‘Saripodhaa Sanivaaram’. “This film will determine his action image makeover since he is going to flex his muscles many times in the film. No doubt, he is trying a new path these days after his successful action film ‘Dasara’”, says a source who adds, “Of course he also won appreciation and collections for his path-breaking film ‘Hi Nanna’ wherein he relied on subtle performance and also love moments with Mrunal,” he adds.
The actor who completed 15 years in the film industry, is looking for an image makeover and is planning anger driven movies. "Probably, he is fed up with soft lover boy and family man roles since he is reluctant to repeat himself," says a source who cites the example of the massive success of "Dasara".
"He realized that the audience has patronized him as a rugged and drunkard youth in ‘Dasara’ in a big way. Besides, his action episodes got him much closer to the masses. When the audience lapped up his transition from a coward into a fearless youngster in the film it doubled his confidence. Hence he wants to flex his muscles,” he adds.
Actually, he is hailed for his cute lover-boy roles and also for his inimitable comic timing. He tasted massive success with films like “Pilla Zamindar,’ ‘Bhale Bhale Magadivoy’, ‘Nenu Local,’ and ‘Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha’ to carve a niche for himself in Tollywood.
