Priyanka Mohan Aims for Tollywood Stardom with Big-Budget Films
Tamil actress Priyanka Arul Mohan has signed two big films- ‘OG’ with superstar Pawan Kalyan and another film ‘Saripodaa Sanivaaram’ with hotshot Nani- to gain a foothold in Tollywood. “I am happy to do a Telugu film after a long gap and I wish the audience would like it. I have earlier acted with Nani in ‘Gangleader’ and again working with him in this new film 'Saripodaa Sanivaaram,” she said at an event. “No doubt, she is eyeing for a spot among top heroines in Tollywood and establish herself since her earlier stint in Telugu films wasn’t exciting enough,” says a source and adds, “She has to dish out big hits to bag plum with superstars in Telugu since filmmakers sign up actresses who are among hits over talent and good looks,” he adds. Already, the pretty looking diva proved her mettle in the Tamil film industry and delivered blockbusters like ‘Doctor’ and ‘Don’ and worked with Tamil stars like Suriya and Siva Karthikeyan and als worked with Dhanush in ‘Captain Miller’. “Her film with Pawan Kalyan will be rated high, while her other film with Nani falls in second place, but still she bagged crazy projects to bounce back,” he adds.
Actually, Priyanka Mohan has shared screen space with Nani in their earlier Telugu film ‘Gang Leader’ and now they are joining hands once again for another multi-crore movie. "She also acted with Sharwanand in ‘Sreekaram’ before turning busy in the Tamil film industry," he adds. Hailing from a Tamil Brahmin family, the actress made her screen debut with the Kannada film ‘Ondhu Kadha Hella’ and hasn't looked back ever since.
