Ram Pothineni under pressure to deliver a hit?
The much anticipated film, Double Ismart, hits theatres on August 15th 2024; already there is huge hype surrounding this film. Expectations are high because its previous part “Ismart Shankar” (directed by Puri Jagannadh) had been a box office success.
Ram Pothineni has put maximum effort into his role in the leading part. Admitting that he felt immense pressure to live up to the expectations of an audience seeking something extraordinary…”When Ismart Shankar came out there were no expectations about my character so whatever I did went down well with people,” opines Ram.
Ram, now that the character has become popular, recognizes that things have become serious. “In terms of dialogues, action sequences or songs, there could be a possibility that the audience may expect something from me. I have to be outstanding in every bit of my character. No slacking on my part because the burden to perform is too much”, he says.
The film also features Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt as the lead antagonist which adds extra excitement to it. Double Ismart, produced by Charmee on a grand scale, is an important project for both her and director Puri Jagannadh. The success of this film matters a lot and all eyes are set on when it will be released to see if they can match or even surpass the original’s triumph.
