No doubt, seasoned star Ravi Teja is a talented actor and his comic timing is impeccable, yet he is delivering more flops than hits these days like ‘Eagle’ and ‘Mr Bachchan'. He is also in talks with new-age director Prashanth Varma who is basking in the success of ‘HanuMan’. ‘Ravi Teja has to start his film with Prashanth immediately since is one of the most happening directors in Tollywood,’ says a distributor and adds, “Ravi Teja can surely resurrect his career since other directors have disappointed him and his career has nosedived,” he adds.
He claims that Prashanth Varma had a couple of meetings with Ravi Teja for the last one year but things were not falling in place. “Prashanth has penned a larger-than-life story with mystical touch and it would be perfect for ‘Kick’ star since it would offer a different offering from the actor-director duo. Ravi has to take a quick decision because one more dud would dent his career further and it will be difficult to bounce back, he points out.
Right now, Ravi Teja is doing a film ‘Kohinoor’ with a young director, but to regain his larger-than-life action image, a movie with Prashanth Varma would be best bet. "It would be interesting combo for sure," he concludes
