Salaar composer to score music for Rakshasa Raja

Riding on the massive success of ‘Salaar: Part 1 Ceasefire’, Kannada music composer Ravi Basrur is set to make a mark in Tollywood too. He reportedly scores music for the much-awaited movie Rakshasa Raja’ starring Rana Daggubati. “Ravi Basrur is excited about the script and began to compose varied tunes to enthrall Telugu viewers,” says a source and adds, “Ravi is a popular music director in Kannada film industry and has belted out chartbusters in movies like ‘Ugramm’, ‘Kshetrapati’ and shares a great rapport with ace director Prasanth Neel,” he adds.

Meanwhile, Rana Daggubati, who is busy doing special roles with superstars Rajinikanth and Dulquer Salmaan, is focusing on his solo hero film to make a comeback of sorts. “He is teaming up with director Teja with whom he has delivered a hit like ‘Nene Raju Nene Mantri’. Rana is excited about doing a big bang action film set in the 1920s in a region somewhere between Andhra-Madras borders. It would be a larger-than-life period saga with loads of action and romance," adds the source.

He further says, "Rana-Teja combination is bound to create ripples in the industry since their films are quite unpredictable and fascinating," he adds.

Director Teja is holding music sittings with Ravi Basrur and planning to deliver a few chartbusters. “Rana would like to woo Hind film viewers and looking to cast a top heroine from Bollywood,” he concludes.
