Samantha Reveals Sai Pallavi Was the First Choice for Maa Inti Bangaram
The Fidaa and Gargi actress was sweet enough to respond to the comment, suggesting that Samantha was the right fit for the role.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s Maa Inti Bangaram is scheduled to release in theatres on June 19, 2026. In a recent interaction, the actress revealed that Sai Pallavi, her Tollywood colleague, was the first choice for the film before it eventually came her way.
During an Instagram Q&A session, Samantha was asked how she became a part of the film. “I didn't choose the film; the film chose me. The idea behind Tralala was to focus on female-led content, so our initial plan was to pitch the film to Sai Pallavi. But she was obviously busy and didn’t have the time, so the makers tweaked the story for me,” she said.

Maa Inti Bangaram is directed by Nandini Reddy and marks her reunion with Samantha after a long gap. The duo last collaborated on Oh! Baby, which was released in 2019. The film features an ensemble cast, including Gulshan Devaiah and Diganth Manchale in key roles. Gautami Tadimalla, Sreemukhi, Manjusha, and Srinivas Gavireddy will also appear in supporting roles.
