Vijay’s strong early lead has already triggered widespread discussion across the film fraternity.

Celebrities across South Indian cinema have poured in congratulatory messages for actor-turned-politician Vijay after early counting trends in Tamil Nadu showed his party, Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), leading in around 110 seats. In its debut electoral outing, TVK crossed the 100-seat mark in early trends, inching closer to the majority mark of 118.
Young Telugu actor Sharwanand shared a heartfelt message on X, writing, “I have said it before, some journeys are meant for more. Congratulations to Vijay sir on this defining moment. From cinema to leadership, you have earned the trust of millions. Wishing you strength and purpose for what lies ahead.”
Actor Sundeep Kishan added an emotional note, tweeting, “En Thalapathy Vetri Kondar. Congratulations actor Vijay sir. And thank you for doing it in the right way. Love you.”
As the leads began to firm up, social media was flooded with congratulatory posts. Telugu actor Nikhil Siddhartha hailed the achievement as “historic,” noting that it is a rare moment for an actor from Indian cinema to emerge as the leader of the single largest party in a state.
From other industries, Malayalam actor Aju Varghese remarked that “luck favours the brave,” applauding Vijay’s bold political leap. Filmmaker Venkat Prabhu shared a TVK flag featuring Vijay and described him as “the greatest of all time,” celebrating the milestone with enthusiasm.
Actor Sibi Sathyaraj struck an upbeat tone in his posts—first exclaiming “Blastu! Blastu!” and later sharing an optimistic message in Tamil that translates to, “We’ll be fine, we’ll all be fine.”
With counting still underway, Vijay’s strong early lead has already triggered widespread discussion across the film fraternity, marking a significant crossover moment from cinema to politics.
