Venu Yeldandi and Sharwanand Team Up for Youth-Centric Entertainer

Young director Venu Yeldandi who rose to fame with heart-touching family drama ‘Balagam’ has reportedly pitched an engaging story to young actor Sharwanand and the actor has agreed in principle. “They have been discussing for some time and now they are going to join hands for a youth-centric entertainer,” says a source. He claims that Venu was also in talks with other actors but finally, he has impressed Sharwanand and that the film would go floors soon. “Venu was looking for a popular star to do his next film after doing a family drama which captured family emotions elegantly, he adds

Actually, ‘Balagam’ story was set in a village in Telangana and it revolved around the after effects on a family and its relations, both with the village folks and among themselves, after the jovial patriarch of the family suddenly passes away. “It was one of the biggest grossers in Telugu cinema and proved that content-driven work also worked wonders and made more than Rs 28 crores,” he points out.

However, it took time for the actor-director to do his second movie as director as he wanted to do something refreshing and different and was working with his team to deliver a blockbuster. “Sharwa has tasted success with family-centric movies like ‘Sathamanam Bhavati’ and is quite good in essaying boy-next-door roles and his teaming up with Venu could end up in another interesting movie,” he concludes.
