Reigning star Ram Charan is set to collaborate with acclaimed director Sukumar for an upcoming film, which promises to be a high-octane action adventure. Their previous blockbuster, Rangasthalam, was a rural drama where Ram Charan portrayed a hearing-impaired local man seeking justice for his brother’s murder.
In stark contrast, this new film will present Ram Charan in a stylish, urbane look, offering a fresh persona for his fans. “Ram Charan’s new look will be sleek and modern, a departure from his earlier roles,” a source revealed. Sukumar, who directed the Pushpa series set in rural landscapes, is eager to explore a slick, contemporary action flick with elements of romance and adventure in exotic locations.
The story will be larger-than-life, befitting Ram Charan’s star power, but will feature a stylized and innovative screenplay aimed at attracting younger audiences and his global fanbase.
Sukumar is currently taking a three-month break to spend time with his wife and daughter in the US, where his daughter is learning classical dance. While on his break, he plans to work on the script, which he intends to present to Ram Charan upon his return to India. The director is hopeful that this collaboration will result in another major hit for the mega family scion.
Meanwhile, Ram Charan is busy working on another project with director Buchi Babu Sana, where he plays a tribal sportsman in a heart-wrenching, sports-centric film set in a small-town family setting. He will also star opposite Janhvi Kapoor in the movie.
