Former minister and BRS working president KT Rama Rao is facing heat from the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a case related to the alleged irregularities in Formula E Race.
Earlier, the Telangana High Court dismissed KTR's petition to quash the FIR.
Meanwhile, social media posts claiming Divvala Madhuri conducting special poojas for the safety of Rama Rao are going viral. The post was similar to the format used by the news sharing platform 'Way2News'.
"She was performing poojas at the Tekkali Sai Baba temple to prevent KTR's arrest," the viral post claimed.
After a thorough investigation, 'NewsMeter' found that the claims are false and misleading.
The claims have no credibility as no result was found after using related keyword searches and tracking Way2News website.
The fact check also dismissed claims stating Madhuri once called KTR her close friend.
In an interview on NTV Telugu's YouTube channel dated December 17, 2024, the social media personality rejected the claims that KTR was her friend. "I never met KTR, never saw him directly and I have no connection with Telangana politics," she maintained.
Moreover, the picture of Madhuri used in the viral post, was posted on her official Instagram handle on January 6 with a caption "Varanasi".
In the past too there were fake claims stating KTR asked Formula E Race organisers to give Rs 10 crore to actor Rakul Preet Singh for her wedding. News Meter termed those claims as "fake".
