Memorable reunion for the first 10 batches of St. Mary’s College
Hyderabad: Meeting your college buddies in the very campus you grew up together gives a feeling that is worth cherishing for a lifetime. Enjoying these moments were students from the 2001 to 2012 batches of St Mary’s College, Yousufguda, on Saturday to mark the institution’s 20th year. What made the reunion unique was that students came from 10 different batches.
Almost all of the former students were busy clicking pictures with buddies, teachers and groups. The incumbent batch came up with an entertainment package for their seniors, including shows by stand-up comedians and group dances.
Prashant Pai, who passed out in 2005, said, “It is after 18 years that I am back in college. This is an occasion for us to build a network and stay connected.”
Ramakrishna Teja, from the 2012 batch came from Mumbai for the event. “I never want to miss such events. It is remarkable that this is the first time students from ten batches are meeting,” he said. D. Indrajeet, batch of 2015, went with his classmates to their classrooms and sat there, recalling the fun moments they had.
“After passing out, we became busy with life and family. Today, we recalled the best times we had together” said Uday Barari of the 2007 batch. “I am taking so many good memories back home. We recalled the time spent in the cafeteria,” said 2013 batch student Riki Bhattacharjee.
Michael Preetam from the college faculty said, “It was so pleasant to meet our students, who remember so many things of those days.”
