Congress men lash out at Kiran
Karimnagar: District Congress Committee BC cell president Ama Anand demanded that the Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy should tender his resignation for divesting the portfolios of Manthani MLA D. Sridhar Babu. BC cell members burned a 14-foot long portrait of the chief minister at Telangana Chowk on Monday.
Lasing out at Kiran, he said that the former had disassociated Sridhar Babu from the portfolio to stall the formation of separate Telangana state as he reportedly played a key role in holding the debate over Telangana bill in the Assemble in his capacity as the minister for Legislative Affairs.
He further said that Sridhar Babu was offered Commercial Tax department as it was plagued by different challenges. He termed Kiran an 'inefficient' chief minister.
Donti Gopi, vice president of the cell, accused the chief minister of obstructing the formation of Telangana separate state using his post. "Chief Minister is intentionally trying to thwart the process of creation of Telangana state," he said. "He is not supposed to continue in the post as he is not protecting the interests of three regions," flayed Gopi.
AP warehouse corporation director Komatireddy Narendar Reddy, DCMS chairman Muduganti Surendar Reddy, PCC secretary Y. Sunil Rao, DCC president Konduri Ravindar Rao and many others were present.
