A birdie tells us that Abhishek Bachchan is not too happy with the way his role has shaped up in Dhoom 3. The film we hear, was originally supposed to have a leading lady opposite Abhishek and he was supposed to shoot for a few songs too — much like the previous editions of the film. Over a period of time, his role got mercilessly chopped. But the actor isn’t complaining. Instead of brooding over it, Abhi has now decided to take charge of his career and look into the minute details of his contract the next time he signs a film.
According to a source close to the actor, Abhi has now decided to disassociate himself from the Dhoom franchise in case there are more editions in the future. “Like every actor, Abhi wants to play well-defined characters that have considerable screen space. He has reached a point in his career where he deserves to do quality work. But there is no point playing the blame game. The film is doing great business and that is what counts,” he says.
Before the release of Dhoom 3, there were reports stating that Aamir Khan has edited the film and that was the reason Katrina Kaif and Abhishek’s roles were chopped. Does Aamir want to clarify? We’re all ears.
