Hyderabad: Due to heavy rain forecast in Hyderabad district, the Telangana government has announced the shutdown of all educational institutions keeping in mind the safety of children.
State revenue and disaster management minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said the government has declared a holiday for schools in view of the heavy rains on Monday. He added that leave of staff in all government departments have been cancelled.
The order was issued during a video conference with the district collectors. The meeting was attended by the chief secretary, municipal, Transco, revenue, panchayati Raj, HYDRAA, GHMC and irrigation officials.
