“When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!” is a saying that has rightly encouraged people to make the best use of the opportunities that come their way. While destine plays a major role in our lives, our hard work is the sole determinant of our success. One of the best examples to explain this is the soulful journey of actor, producer, and singer Raghuraja Bhatia. Born as Raghu Bhatia, Raghuraja Bhatia very well knew that his passion was inclined towards acting and that he had to enter the Bollywood industry when the time came. Even though the tender age of 7 years makes us dream about the most impossible things, Raghu Bhatia had clearly made up his mind that he wanted to pursue acting and so, he led on to become so. Therefore, Bhatia participated in a number of theatre-based and drama competitions that helped him hone his skills. Yet the tale does not end here. Challenges and conflicts are a part of everyone’s story. Perhaps Raghu Bhatia is no exception. When he disclosed his passion to people around him, he was discouraged and even scolded. Still, he left for Mumbai and continued to stand strong in order to become an actor. Changing his name to Raghuraja Bhatia, he auditioned for numerous projects and roles for a period of 3 months. That’s when Bhatia bagged the project – Suvreen Guggal- Topper of the Year. The show even streams online on Hotstar Now.
Starring opposite famous actors like Mohit Malik, Smriti Kalra, Shivin Narang, and Akshay Anand, Raghu Bhatia pushed himself to become better and bigger in the industry. A show that was loved by almost every teenager and continues to be a piece of art even now, Raghu Bhatia starred in the show for a span of 2 years. However, he had to leave for New Delhi owing to his mother’s health issues and concerns. Yet this was not all. This is the time when Bhatia discovered that he wanted to do something more. So, he became a producer and launched his own production house- Neel Rishi Films Pvt. Ltd. The film – Jaane Kyu de Yaaron was released in the year 2014 and many celebrities like the veteran actor Kabir Bedi and Akshay Anand, Chetna Pandey, and Viju Khote were attached to the project. In 2020, he signed up for for a music video named "Tu Hi Toh Tha" which released in March 2021; the same day Bhatia’s father passed away due to Covid-19.
He is indulged in learning about his passion so much so that he even enrolled himself at the Toronto Film School, Canada for a film production course. But, due to Covid-19 guidelines, he had to leave within 6 months only. A globe-trotter too, Bhatia has traveled over 14 countries. From a country-wide tour of the USA in the year 2018 to a globe-trotting passion to wander around the wonders of the world, Bhatia is no less than an inspiration when it comes to following one’s heart!
