As rightly said, Practice and hard work makes a man perfect. Avinav Yadav is one such player from Nepal's Siraha district, Madar who started his cricket journey at age of 17. He is a cricketer for Kathmandu Golden in the Dhangadhi Premier League (DPL). The right-handed batter for the club is recognised for his perfect boundary knocks and ability to judge every ball before making contact with his bat.
DPL is a Twenty20 cricket franchise league that was founded in 2017 by the Dhangadhi Cricket Academy and Sudur Paschim Academy. He made his debut with Kathmandu Goldens in 2019. Each team plays five round-robin matches throughout the DPL season, which runs from March through April. The top four teams with the greatest records qualify for the playoffs, which culminate in the championship games.
He had a desire to be a cricketer since he was a child, and he began pursuing his cricketing talents seriously when he was 11 years old. Since then, he has dedicated himself to becoming a great cricketer.
Having the right guidance in life is very important, Avinav was privileged that he was motivated by Apurva Desai, a former Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) assistant coach and previous Nepal U19 batting coach, who has been the head coach of the Nepal U19 team. He has always praised his batting technique and encouraged him to keep working hard so that one day his efforts may be rewarded.
Many other players have always been very supportive of him, including Nepalese national cricket team captain Gyanendra Malla dai, senior cricketers Aarif Sheikh dai and Sompal Kami dai, and senior cricketers Aarif Sheikh dai and Sompal Kami dai. Speaking about them he said, “ I am grateful for their ideas, and I am confident that my performance will make them proud one day.”
In addition, Virat Kohli, the greatest cricketer of all time, has been his greatest motivation. He has played in several events as a result of his motivation, including the U19 Itahari Team, U19 Nexus Cup, Kathmandu Goldens (in DPL), Birgunj Premier League, College Cricket League, Khukuri Cup, and U19 Nexus Cup.
In few years he dreams to play for Nepal National Team and keep on performing consistently for his team. If you watch him play on the ground, you'll see how effortlessly he handles each and every ball. Seeing him perform like this in the future he will make his country proud.
Avinav will surely make a name for himself in the cricketers' arena if he continues in the same vein.
