ISB, Samhita-CGF Empower 500 Rural Women Entrepreneurs

The Indian School of Business (ISB) Executive Education, in partnership with Samhita-CGF, has successfully completed its pilot Women’s Entrepreneurship Development Programme, training 500 women entrepreneurs across five states. A new cohort of 550 women is currently being trained in Uttarakhand.

The programme offers a hybrid learning model combining ISB’s online business modules with mentorship from Samhita-CGF. Topics include business development, financial literacy, marketing strategies, and digital skills. The initiative helps women balance business and household responsibilities while fostering long-term success.

Sujatha Kumaraswamy from ISB stated, “This partnership empowers rural women with the skills to build and sustain businesses.” Priya Naik from Samhita-CGF added, “Increasing women entrepreneurs will significantly impact India’s GDP, and our goal is to double the incomes of 2 million women over the next five years.”

Participants received joint certification and the programme identified 'Champions' who will lead change in their communities.
