The work of each of these photographers is moving and thought-provoking. Sharing stories of women living in the slums of Tehran, photographer Tahmineh Monzav says, “When I looked into their eyes, I could feel the depth of their torturous lives. This series of portraits proves that every woman, no matter how much they suffer, is always beautiful.”
