Srikakulam temples hold Dharma Prachara Varotsavam
Visakhapatnam: Dharma Prachara Varotsavam celebrations have started at all prominent temples in the Srikakulam district. Revenue minister Dharmana Prasada Rao attended the celebrations at the Sun Temple in Arasavalli near Srikakulam.
Speaking to media on the occasion, the minister underlined that YSRC government is organising the Dharma Prachara Varotsavam on a large scale at all prominent temples in the state.
Dharmana maintained that such programmes are essential for restoration of Dharma and culture. He pointed out that the YSRC government is also extending funds for development of temples in the state.
The minister asked officials of temples to organise devotional programmes at their respective temples by engaging local artists, so that the latter could benefit.
Temple executive officer Hari Suryaprakash, chief priest Ippili Shankar Sharma and governing council member Mandavilli Ravi were among those present at the Dharma Prachara Varotsavam programme.
