HYDERABAD: The Buddha statue and the platform on which it was built, ‘The Rock of Gibraltar’ turned into a special venue for a morning classical music concert.
Nearly 230 music lovers gathered in front of the statue to listen to Ramprapanna Bhattacharya play the sitar, accompanied by Thakur Harijit Singh on the tabla. The 70-minute concert, ‘Shubhodayam’, was part of a 'Music Unlock’ series, organised by Tatva Arts, in association with the department of language & culture of the Telangana government.
“I am very proud to have performed here at the Buddha statue. It was a great opportunity that was bestowed on me,” said Ramprapanna Bhattacharya.
