VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh State Creativity and Culture Commission is organising the International Dance Day at Thummalapalli Kala Kshetram at 5:00 pm on Saturday, coinciding with Andhranatyam doyen Dr. Nataraja Ramakrishna’s centenary celebrations.
Noted Andhranatyam artists, including Kendra Sangeetha Nataka Academy Puraskar awardee Kala Krishna, family members of Vempati Chinna Satyam, and Swathi Somanath will present their performances.
Special chief secretary (Culture) Rajat Bhargava called upon people to attend the programme, which will be held under the supervision of culture commission chairperson Vangapadu Usha.
Ministers R.K. Roja, Taneti Vanitha, Jogi Ramesh, Ambati Rambabu and Adimulapu Suresh, apart from prominent personalities will be attending the programme.
