Devotees throng Vaishnava temples on Tholi Ekadasi
KAKINADA: Thursday being the auspicious Tholi Ekadasi, devotees thronged temples, making offerings, performing pujas and seeking blessings from Lord Mahavishnu. Devotees kept Satyanarayana vrathams with great devotion.
Thousands of devotees visited Sri Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Murthy Temple at Annavaram of Kakinada district.
All Venkateswara Swamy temples witnessed crowds of devotees, whether at Dwaraka Tirumala in Eluru district, Tirupathi in Peddapuram mandal of Kakinada district, Mamidikuduru and Vadapalli in B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district and in areas like Gandhingar, Venkatanagar, Yetimoga, Jagannadhapuram, Sarpavaram, Pallamrajunagar and Bhavannarayanapuram in Kakinada, Eluru, Kovvuru, Rajamahendravaram, Bhimavaram, Palakollu, Narsapuram, Razole, Amalapuram, and Chidiga.
Chants Om Namo Narayanaya, Om Namo Venkatesaya and Om Namo Satyadeva reverberated on the day.
Lord Satyanarayana Murthy appeared in the Sri Mahavishnu Avatar at the Darbar Mandapam in Annavaram. Earlier, Mahavishnu Avatar used to be at Aliveti Mandapam. Temple authorities have changed the venue this year to make it more convenient for devotees.
