9-day Bhairav Ashtami Festival with 2024 sweets in MP
The 9-day Bhairav Ashtami Festival organized under the guidance of National Saint Dr. Vasant Vijay Ji Maharaj, Peethadhishwar of Parshva Padmavati Shakti Peeth Dham, Krishngiri, Tamilnadu and Akhil Bharatiya Batuk Bhairav Bhakt Mandal in Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh has created not one but two extraordinary world records, leaving a mark of devotion, culture, and grandeur.
A major highlight of the festival was the offering of 2024 types of sweets to Lord Bhairav, a feat that has set a new world record. This incredible accomplishment will be registered with 50 distinguished organizations across India and abroad, showcasing the magnitude of faith and collective effort.
Adding to the historical significance, the festival also witnessed the creation of a massive 84,000 sq. ft. Rangoli, intricately designed to depict India's rich cultural heritage, spiritual leaders, and national heroes. This artistic marvel has etched its place as another remarkable world record.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Vasant Vijay Ji Maharaj said, “The Mahayagna and spiritual practices conducted during Bhairav Ashtami hold immense significance. Through this grand celebration, we aim to invoke the blessings of Lord Bhairav, an embodiment of Lord Shiva, to safeguard India from potential economic crises and pandemics.”
The festival featured a daily 8-pit Mahayagna, conducted by 46 scholar priests from Kashi. In a unique arrangement, one pit was served by 11 priests, while the other 7 pits were attended to by 5 priests each. This intense worship continued uninterrupted for 9 days, emphasizing devotion and spirituality.
The grand event was organized under the patronage of prominent leaders, including Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Devda, Neemuch-Mandsaur MPs C.P. Joshi and Sudhir Gupta, Rajya Sabha MP Banshilal Gurjar, and several MLAs and dignitaries from across the state. Their support, alongside the involvement of various civic and spiritual organizations, was instrumental in the festival’s success.
The Bhairav Ashtami Festival 2024 not only stands as a testament to India’s spiritual fervor but also as a global example of unity, cultural pride, and dedication.
