Telugu is most aesthetic language in India. Find out why.

Telugu has earned the moniker "Italian of the East" for the musical and resonant nature of the language. In 1420, Italian explorer Niccolo De Conti called it "Italian of the East" finding similarity with Italian language.

Rabindranath Tagore also wondered if Telugu was a language or music.

Tamil poet Bhartiar captured the beauty of Telugu beautifully in his Tamil songs.

It can be considered that Telugu holds the same higher position among the southern languages just as Bengali, considered to be a sweet language among the northern languages.

Because every Telugu letter's sound ends in a vowel (acchulu), it is also called Achanta or Ajanta launguage, having vowel harmony..

Telugu belongs to the Dravidian family like the Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. Telugu language is like a pyramid with Dravidian base and Sanskrit peak.

Telugu will have two words for every noun -- one coming from Sanskrit and the other from pure Telugu. Kannada and Telugu script is almost the same.

Sri Krishna Devaraylu had Ashtadiggajalu who shaped Telugu language further and at the same time, a poetic contest - Avadhana Prakriya- came into existence.

The Telugu gender system is distinctly unique in the fashion in which the verbs are used.

After interaction with Sanskrit, Telugu had softened a lot like Tambelu became Tabelu, Nendu (today) became nedu.

Telugu verbs can be transformed into numerous new forms which has made the language the most preferred for poets and poetry. In Telugu, the root word itself has several forms unlike

Hindi or English. Telugu also has verbs specially for non-gender species (animals).

The language gives more importance to aesthetic sounding quality.

Telugu gains this exclusive status due to three main reasons:

1. Ajanta nature-- every letter and word ends with a vowel sound, also called vowel harmony.

2. Second, it has a multi register. It can freely pick apt words from Sanskrit or Dravidian, Persian or Tamil-inspired words too

3. There are multiple verb transformations which can be customizable with suffixes to mean nuanced expressions.

Author of 'The Man who knew infinity" writes Ramanujan's native language was Tamil, one among the family of Dravidian languages that includes Malayalam, Canarese, and the musical-sounding Telugu. Though his native language was Tamil, Ramanujan liked Telugu for its vowel harmony.

After Hindi, Bangla and Marathi, Telugu is the next most spoken language in India. Telugu is also the fastest growing language of the US.

Telugu speakers have seen a rise of about 150% in the last six years.

With huge patronship for the language, Telugu is likely to dominate the entire globe in the next few years.
