Women Devotees Participate in Traditional Bonalu Festival in Seetharampalli

Adilabad: A large number of women devotees participated in the traditional Bonalu at Seetharampalli village in Naspur municipality in Mancherial districts on Sunday. Women carrying bonalu on their heads and dressed in traditional attire participated in the event. A special event was held in which the ‘potharaju’ catches a goat to ‘sacrifice.’ A large number of men and children were in attendance. Mancherial DCC president Kokkirala Surekha, municipal chairman Surmilla Venu and senior Congress leaders Dharani Madhu, Dharani Srinu, Mallesh, Konatham Ramesh participated.
