Weather Alert: Low-Pressure Area Brewing Over Andaman Sea, Possible Depression
Vishakhapatnam: A low-pressure area is likely over south Andaman Sea and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal on Monday following a cyclonic circulation over south Thailand and adjoining south Andaman Sea extending up to 5.8 km above mean sea level.
It is likely to move west north-westward and intensify into a depression over southeast Bay of Bengal around November 29. Lower tropospheric north easterly and easterly winds will prevail over Andhra Pradesh and Yanam.
During the last 24 hours, Venkatagiri in Chittoor district received 2.8 cm of rain and rest of Rayalaseema received moderate rainfall. There has been no rain over north coastal Andhra or south coastal Andhra.
