Mumbai: In an attempt to support the Smile Foundation’s initiative ‘She Can Fly’, Pernia’s Pop-Up shop launched an exclusive Pernia’s Pop-Up Runway Spring/Summer 2019. Bigwigs of the fashion industry like Rina Dhaka, Sougat Paul, Gabriel, Samant Chauhan and Rippii Sethi dazzled the ramp with their latest collections, which were designed exclusively for Pernia's Pop-up Shop.
Manasi Scott, who adorned designer Samant Chauhan’s outfit was the host for the evening, and also gave an eclectic performance. The spectators were mesmerised with her original composition ‘Constellation’.
The runway showcased Smile Foundation’s ‘Ramp for Champs’ in which the children walking the ramp were accompanied by 21 women. They were gracefully dressed in handwoven sarees by Sailesh Singhania. Isha Kopikkar was the showstopper for the event.
‘She Can Fly’ initiative is an endearing effort by Smile Foundation that focuses on enabling, equipping and empowering girl children with quality education, proper nutrition, good health, adequate skills and boost their self-confidence that will help them excel in all aspects of life.
Arjun Rampal, Rashmi Nigam, Rohit Verma, Deepshika Deshmukh, Rahul Roy were some of the prominent personalities attending the event.
