While we have just hit February, the sweltering heat and the sunny mornings scream summertime like none other— we speak to Annapoorna Narsepalli, Bengaluru-based make-up artist, who gives us a lowdown on the choicest makeup trends to get your chic on as the temperature soars…
Rouge requirements: “Summer ’16 beauty trends are about going all out with the colours. Bright hues that add an instant pop to your face are going to rule the trend chart. So paint your pout with candy apples, ruby reds, florescent pinks and tangerine,” Says Annapoorna. “But make note to keep everything else minimal,” she adds.
Keep it ‘skin’tillating: Emphasising on the cardinal rules of beauty, which starts with great skin, the make-up artist maintains how good moisturising and strobbing are a must. “Strobbing has been creating quite a buzz, and it’s basically highlighting. But as the summers approach, it’s important that your skin breathes and feels light. Sun kissed and Bronze looks will reign supreme this summer. Before slathering on creams and moisturizers, make sure to cleanse well. A regular mild clean up, and even facial steams to open and clear the pores will leave your skin radiating like never before,”she adds.
Eye’conic times: This summer, make those peepers pop with simple tricks. “Smoky eyes or the dark kohl look is not going away anytime soon. But if you’re heading to college or work, you could keep it simple by curling your lashes a bit to give your eyes a simple yet striking finish.” And if you’re wondering how to carry it off through the night, she lets us in on the same – “For the evenings, you can play with glittery shades on the eyelids.” So are you ready to make heads turn?
