A dessert village breaks record
Desserts are always yummy and beautiful. Just think of a dessert that looks like a global village that has garden, water body, parks, power station, stadium, mountains, cattle field, houses and what not! Incredible, isn’t it? That’s exactly what the chefs of Uday Samudra Leisure Beach Hotel & Spa, Thiruvananthapuram, prepared this Valentine’s Day.
Not just that, the humongous dessert measuring 20ftx20ft and weighing 1,610 kg, went on to become the world’s largest dessert pudding as judged by members of the Universal Records Forum.
The event was attended by dignitaries like E.M. Najeed, Dr Rajasree Ajith, Coast guard commandant George Baby and Airport Director C.V Ravindran, apart from a large number of differently-abled students, employees from hospitality and tourism sector and students from the catering colleges.
As part of the event, the chefs of Uday Samudra Leisure Beach Hotel & Spa took a pledge to support Zero Hunger, vowing to never waste food.
