Thirst quenching cranberry sorbet recipe
A refreshing and good cleanser for your body with a perfect blend of oranges and cranberries is just what you need this summer. This sorbet has the right balance of sweetness and tartness.
Instead of dried cranberries, you can also opt for fresh cranberries available during the period from October to January. Mix 1 ¼ cups cranberries juice cocktail with sugar and bring to boil over low heat while stirring. Simmer for 5 minutes uncovered. Remove from heat and stir in 1 ½ cups fresh cranberries, orange juice and zest. Let it cool, puree and freeze.
Cranberry Sorbet
Ingredients:
1/3 cup dried cranberries
1 ½ cups cranberry juice cocktail
2/3 cup confectioners’ sugar
1 orange
Step 1
Mix dried cranberries with juice and sugar; bring to a boil over low heat. Let it simmer without the lid for about 15 minutes.
Step 2
Wash the orange with hot water and dry. Grate 1tsp form orange peel and squeeze out the juice. Remove cranberries from heat and stir in orange juice and zest. Let it cool. Puree the mixture, pour into cold-resistant bowl and place in the freezer.
Step 3
After one hour, stir the mixture well and put it back into the freezer. Repeat this process 2-3 times. Remove sorbet from the freezer about 15 minutes before portioning and serving in chilled glasses.
