Peshawri at ITC Kohenur Hyderabad celebrates its first anniversary

Peshawri at ITC Kohenur Hyderabad celebrates its first anniversary, offering authentic North-West Frontier cuisine with a unique, cutlery-free dining experience.
Peshawri, the iconic restaurant from ITC Hotels, is renowned for its traditional North-West Frontier flavours that have been delighting patrons for decades. The 10th Peshawri outlet at ITC Kohenur in Hyderabad recently celebrated its first anniversary in grand style, marking a significant milestone in its journey.
General Manager, ITC Kohenur, Jitendra Taak expressed his heartfelt gratitude to patrons and staff, saying, "Our first year has been phenomenal, thanks to our loyal customers and dedicated team. We are thrilled to have received such an overwhelming response from the city's food enthusiasts."
At Peshawri, guests are encouraged to dine without cutlery, embracing a traditional and cultural way of eating that fosters a sense of community and togetherness. This unique dining experience allows patrons to connect with their food and fellow diners on a deeper level.
Executive Chef Aamer Jamal explained the inspiration behind Peshawri, saying, "Our restaurant was founded on the concept of harmony and community dining, which is deeply rooted in the North-West Frontier region's culture. In the past, people would gather to share meals and bond over food, creating unforgettable memories."
The restaurant's beverage menu features an array of signature drinks, including Rum Toffee and Pathaan Panna among others, which perfectly complement the rich flavours of the North-West Frontier cuisine. Popular dishes include Sikandari Raan, Tandoori Jhinga, Murgh Malai Kabab, and the iconic Dal Bukhara, which is ITC's signature dish. The showstopper definitely was the humongous Naan Bukhara, made from about 1.25 kilos of dough, which can easily feed six people.
The rustic yet classy decor and comfortable seating add to the restaurant's charm, transporting patrons to the rugged yet beautiful North-West Frontier region. What sets Peshawri apart, however, is its consistency in taste and hospitality over the years.
As Chef Jamal noted, "Our menu has remained the same, but the taste has never altered. We are proud to have stood the test of time, and we look forward to continuing to delight our patrons with authentic North-West Frontier flavours."
