Reconnect with yourself!

This free workshop on Body Intelligence Training acquaints individuals to alternative healing paths.

Let’s not refute this – we are all wading through a confused wellness-frenzy era. Several health fads entail perilous lifestyle and dietary changes. Gauging the need to stem the unrealistic trend, and armed with a genuine intent to bring about a much-needed detour, a free introductory session on Body Intelligence Training and Biodynamic Cranio-sacral Therapy (BCST) will be held on November 5 at Shoonya Centre for Arts and Somatic Practices. In a candid chat with Sriya Rao, one of the core members of the session, we dive deeper... “I believe millennials tend to fragment parts of ourselves and experience our fast-paced life as unrelated pieces. But, luckily, an increased access to some beautiful somatic work and healing spaces give us an opportunity to reconnect, relate and reintegrate ourselves for holistic wellness,” begins Sriya.

The body-mind-environment complex is a seemingly interesting concept that intrigues many. This is an introductory session to an advanced progressive therapy that combines the science of the body with mindfulness and a deep appreciation for our innate intelligence and healing capacity. This session helps individuals to get in touch with their inner worlds and understand how we can access the wisdom of the body. Considering the rise in the number of mental ailments, the free workshop comes with a rather insightful message: that the world cares. Open to those with absolutley no knowledge in healing paths; this session introduces the connection with a deeply restful and resourcing part of one’s being through the Biodynamic Craniosacral Modality Enthusing more about the forthcoming workshop, Rao, adds, “I believe this session helps us get in touch with our inner worlds and understand how we can access the wisdom of the body. This session introduces the connection with a deeply restful and resourcing part of our being through a concept of Biodynamic cranio-sacral activities. Simply put, the session is a gentle, hands on therapy which releases tensions, eases pain and encourages the body to balance and heal. It’s deeply relaxing, subtle, and increases physical vitality and well being. The therapy is non-manipulative and relies on the body’s intelligence to heal itself.”

Stating how important it is for youngsters to change their relationship with wellness, Sriya concludes, “'As a student trainee with Body Intelligence and a support assistant on the Bengauru trainings, the journey has been a learning from the within. BCST transformed my relationship with well-being and I love facilitating spaces through free initiatives that enable a reflection of our natural sources of well-being. There’s possibly just one motto — Keep sharing the love and embracing the lovely opportunities that come my way! Our vibe attracts our tribe!”
