Get healthy: Centre those chakras, peeps
1. The old adage “early to bed early to rise,” holds true. A disciplined sleeping pattern is very important. Hit the bed by 10 pm at night and wake up by 6 am. This stabilises your metabolism and gives you a good head start.
2. One hour of yoga every morning not only helps you stay in shape, it also centres your chakras. Add meditation to your repertoire. Practice surya namaskar everyday. Alternate yoga with cardio and weight training, including sprinting and dumb bell squats.
3. A healthy diet and eating right makes up 60 per cent of your fitness regime. Access your body type and metabolism and fix your diet accordingly. If you have a high metabolic rate, eating too little could lead to weakness. Supplement your food with a protein shake.
4. Divide your meals. I eat five small meals a day, spacing them out evenly. The calorific value of the meals should be in descending order starting with a heavy and full breakfast and ending the day with a light dinner.
5. Water and fluid intake is crucial. I start my day with 1.75 litres of water and during the day, I keep my sipper with me at all times.
