Sarah finally reunites with dog after 3 weeks

The search for her dog named Rosie was on since April 20 when the little dog left her house in Miyapur on April 19 at night.

Hyderabad: This Mother’s Day, an unconventional rescue was the best gift for UK-based freelance photographer and filmmaker Sarah Li.

The search for her dog named Rosie was on since April 20 when the little dog left her house in Miyapur on April 19 at night.

The long wait of three weeks came to an end on Sunday as a farmer was nabbed by the Cyberabad police with the help of CCTV footage for taking the dog away.

Born in Hyderabad to a Chinese-Indian father and a British mother, Sarah Li was in the city working on a documentary about the dry cleaning business in Secunderabad.

Despite repeated tweets from her with her contact details, there was no response about the dog after which many animal rescue organisations including Blue Cross took up the search and made missing posters.

The issue was even taken by the UK deputy High Commissioner to Telangana and AP, Andrew Fleming, who retweeted Sarah’s tweets regarding her missing dog and expressed his joy at the reunion of the pet and the owner.

The owner was led on many wild goose chases as possible sightings were reported following the posters.

The dog had a blue tag around her neck that would light up in the dark which was the identification mentioned in the posters.

A tweet with the photo of Sarah’s second dog Bowie being taken for vaccination and Sarah’s caption that she missed Rosie was widely shared on twitter.

Sarah Li said that she was terrified at the absence of her dog as she was not the type to run away but she couldn’t express her happiness at having found her dog and thanked all those who supported her during the search.
