Chef Abdul, who has come all the way from JW Marriott Kolkata, prepared some mouthwatering authentic Lucknowi recipes that will leave you wanting more. Coming from a family that ran a restaurant in Lucknow, Chef Abdul's dishes stay true to traditional recipes.
Starting with a shot of shimla mirch panna seasoned with spices and paired with hung curd-stuffed khasta roti made for a delightful starter. Vegetarians enjoyed Subz ashrafiyon ki shoran (vegetable clear soup), while non-vegetarians had nalli soup. Veggie starters included dahi kebabs, paneer dum roll, and sarson malai broccoli soya matar kaju seekh.
Non-vegetarians savored lamb seekh, Tunday kebabs, and shahi malai chicken. A bread platter featuring sheermal and Taftaan naan complemented dishes like dal makhani and Lucknowi-style paneer gravy. However, the standout dish was definitely the Kathal biryani made from raw jackfruit—an extraordinary taste experience.
No meal is complete without dessert. You can enjoy shahi tukda and gajar ka halwa.
If you're curious about adding a Lucknowi touch to your everyday meals, head to Bidri at Marriot on Tank Bund road. The approximate cost for two people is ₹4,000, excluding taxes.
