My guruji Swami Ishwar Das Udaasi was a Sufi saint. I lived with him for 3 years at his ashram. I have learnt so many things from him about music, religion and the meaning of life.
He is the closest to me and always will be. Whenever I am in trouble or am happy, I feel him around me. Very few people know that he was the one to push me into acting. He saw that spark in me and inspired me to realise my potential.
His last words to me were, “There is some work left in the world only for you and only you will be able to finish it. Go, do what you need to do.”
A mentor like that does wonders to one’s growth. I am blessed to have met him. I feel pure now, along with having understood how important relationships are in life.
