An eye for LONDON
The weather was perfect. It was the first time I was travelling to the UK and Ireland, in the winter, December to January. I was excited about Christmas and New Year as the country is decked in the most gorgeous celebratory mood. We visited Skellig Islands, the Giant’s Causeway and Ring of Kerry, all major attractions in Ireland.
Out of Ireland, Dublin and London, I loved Dublin the most. The Dublin Castle is a famous monument here. The city is very beautiful, on the one hand you have places to party, on the other, a lot of greenery. I visited the sets of the TV show, Game of Thrones. My friends and I covered the important tourist spots.
I travelled with a pair of clothes and shopped when I got to London! In Ireland, if you are a meat lover, it is a paradise as dishes range from simplistic cabbage and bacon to authentic Irish crubeens.
We had planned our entire trip out. From the greenery in Dublin to the aura of London, everything was mesmerising. We especially loved the buzz at the various London markets.
Even though I don’t fancy museums or architecture that much, I visited a few places I really liked it. From the architectural beauty of St Pauls Cathedral, to the Buckingham Palace, to Big Ben, and London Eye, it was a learning as well.
